Job summary

Qualifications

• Must be a Certified Respiratory Therapist (CRT) or Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) in the practicing state.
• Current BLS required; ACLS preferred.
• TB clearance, fingerprint card, and physical within 6 months.
• Ventilator unit experience required; long-term care or skilled nursing experience preferred.
• Strong communication with residents, families, staff, physicians and agencies.

Responsibilities

• Provide respiratory care and education to acutely ill residents with cardiac or pulmonary issues.
• Administer therapy and monitor response to treatment.
• Set up and manage medical gases, ventilation, humidification, aerosols, and chest physiotherapy.
• Coordinate with rehab and nursing leadership to integrate respiratory care into daily practice.
• Oversee equipment management and documentation of orders and maintenance.
• Develop discharge plans and ensure follow-up for equipment and services.
