Ochsner Health System is hiring a Respiratory Therapist at the Westbank location. The role involves providing respiratory care, oxygen services, diagnostics, and ventilation support for neonatal to geriatric patients in both in-patient and out-patient settings. Qualifications include Louisiana RT license, NBRC Registered Respiratory Therapist, and BLS.

Up to $15,000 sign-on bonus is offered. Applicant must meet education and experience requirements and be able to work a flexible, 24/7 schedule

Competenze

• High School diploma or equivalent is required.
• Current State of Louisiana License as a Respiratory Therapist is required.
• Certification by the National Board of Respiratory Care as a Registered Respiratory Therapist is required.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) from the American Heart Association is required.

Mansioni

• Performs routine and advanced respiratory therapy procedures according to policy and procedure.
• Reviews and documents clinical information for each patient.
• Educates patients and co-workers on procedures and treatment plans.
• Performs diagnostic procedures.
• Provides care appropriate to the patient’s age and needs.
