Job summary

Ochsner Health System in Slidell, LA, is seeking a Respiratory Therapist to provide respiratory care, oxygen therapy, diagnostic testing, and ventilation support for patients from neonatal to geriatric ages. Qualifications

• Associate's Degree required.
• Bachelor's Degree preferred.
• Active Respiratory Therapist license in the state of practice.
• CPR/BLS certification required; ACLs within 90 days; possible NBRC certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Performs routine and advanced therapeutic procedures per policy.
• Reviews and documents clinical information for each patient.
• Educates patients and coworkers on procedures and treatment plans.
• Performs diagnostic procedures and provides age-appropriate care.
• Adapt communication and care to patient population.
