Job summary

Ochsner Health in New Orleans is seeking a Respiratory Therapist to provide therapeutic procedures, oxygen therapy, diagnostic testing and ventilation support for patients from neonatal to geriatric care. You will work with physicians and the care team to deliver safe, evidence-based care in a busy clinical setting.

The position requires an Associate's degree (Bachelor's preferred) and active Respiratory Therapist licensure, with BLS and ACLS credentials.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree in Respiratory Therapy or related field.
• Bachelor's degree preferred.
• Current license as a Respiratory Therapist in the state of practice.
• BLS and ACLS credentials.

Responsibilities

• Performs routine and advanced respiratory procedures per policy.
• Reviews and documents all clinical information for each patient.
• Educates patients and coworkers on procedures and treatment plans.
• Performs diagnostic procedures.
• Provides age-appropriate care across neonatal to geriatric populations.

Education

Associate's degree in Respiratory Therapy or related field

Bachelor's degree preferred

Active Respiratory Therapist license

BLS/ACLS credentials
