BridgePoint Continuing Care Hospital – National Harborside in Washington, DC is hiring a Respiratory Therapist to provide safe, evidence-based respiratory care under physician orders. You will monitor mechanical ventilation, administer meds, and complete patient assessments while adhering to protocols and contributing to care planning.

Ideal candidates hold NBRC credentials, state licensure, BLS and ACLS, with at least 1 year of experience.

Qualifications

• AMA approved school education in respiratory care.
• Current NBRC credentials as Respiratory Therapist and state licensure; BLS & ACLS required.
• 1 year of respiratory care experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Administer safe respiratory care as ordered; monitor ventilation and assess patients.
• Support teaching and training; participate in patient status reviews and team education.

What You’ll Be Doing:

Here at BridgePoint our Respiratory Therapist – RT is responsible for administering safe and competent respiratory care as ordered by a physician. The Respiratory Therapist – RT monitors mechanical ventilation, administers medications, and completes patient assessments. The Respiratory Therapist – RT must understand ramifications of hemodynamic monitoring, reviews blood work results, monitor patient status, and participate in teaching and training.

Respiratory Care Practitioners, RRT, Registered Respiratory Therapist, Certified Respiratory Therapist, Respiratory Care Provider, RCP, RT

Requirements:

Education: Graduate of an AMA approved School of Respiratory Care.

Licenses/Certification: Current credentials as a Respiratory Therapist by the National Board of Respiratory Care. Current licensure from state licensure agency. BLS & ACLS Certifications required.

Experience: 1 year of respiratory care experience preferred.

Weekend Work Required: Yes
