Job summary

BridgePoint Continuing Care Hospital – WJMC Campus in Marrero, LA is seeking a Respiratory Therapist to join our per diem/PRN team for night shifts. You will provide respiratory care under physician orders and monitor patient status as part of a cohesive care team.

Qualifications include AMA-approved respiratory care education, NBRC credentials, state licensure, and BLS/ACLS. One year of experience preferred; safety-sensitive position with competitive pay and access to daily pay.

Qualifications

• Education: Graduate of an AMA approved School of Respiratory Care.
• Licenses/Certification: NBRC credentials; state licensure; BLS & ACLS required.
• Experience: 1 year of respiratory care experience preferred.
• Safety Sensitive-Designated Positions

Responsibilities

• Administer safe and competent respiratory care as ordered by a physician.
• Monitor mechanical ventilation, administers medications, and complete patient assessments.
• Understand ramifications of hemodynamic monitoring, review blood work results, monitor patient status, and participate in teaching and training.

Rate of Pay: $24.23 to $38.77 (plus Shift Diffs as applicable)

PRN Rate of Pay: $29

What You’ll Be Doing:

Respiratory Therapist – RT is responsible for administering safe and competent respiratory care as ordered by a physician. The Respiratory Therapist – RT monitors mechanical ventilation, administers medications, and completes patient assessments. The Respiratory Therapist – RT must understand ramifications of hemodynamic monitoring, reviews blood work results, monitor patient status, and participate in teaching and training.

Respiratory Care Practitioners, RRT, Registered Respiratory Therapist, Certified Respiratory Therapist, Respiratory Care Provider, RCP, RT, CRT

Requirements:

Education: Graduate of an AMA approved School of Respiratory Care.

Licenses/Certification: Current credentials as a Respiratory Therapist by the National Board of Respiratory Care. Current licensure from state licensure agency. BLS & ACLS Certifications required.

Experience: 1 year of respiratory care experience preferred.
