Job summary

Split Rock Rehabilitation and Health Care Center in New York seeks a dedicated Respiratory Therapist (RT) to join our clinical team on a full-time basis. You will deliver comprehensive respiratory care to residents in a rehabilitation and long-term care setting, including ventilator management, airway stabilization, and resident education.

Qualified professionals possess an active CRT or RRT license, BLS certification, and strong assessment and communication skills.

Qualifications

• Licensed Respiratory Therapist (CRT or RRT) in the state of New York.
• BLS certification (ACLS preferred).
• Experience in skilled nursing or long-term care is a plus.
• Strong assessment, communication, and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Deliver all respiratory therapy services per policies and guidelines.
• Provide ventilator care management for residents with complex needs.
• Maintain airway patency and perform emergency respiratory interventions.
• Administer respiratory medications and monitor effectiveness.
• Set up and adjust respiratory therapy equipment.
• Educate residents and families on care plans and equipment.
• Serve on the CPR/emergency response team.

Job description

We are seeking a dedicated and licensed Respiratory Therapist (RT) to join our clinical team on a Full Time basis. This role supports the delivery of critical respiratory care to residents in a rehabilitation and long-term care setting. From ventilator management to airway stabilization and resident education, you’ll be an essential part of our clinical operations and emergency response.

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver all respiratory therapy services in accordance with established policies, procedures, and clinical guidelines.
• Provide ventilator care management and support for residents with complex respiratory needs.
• Maintain airway patency and provide emergency respiratory interventions as needed.
• Administer respiratory medications and monitor their effectiveness.
• Set up, monitor, and adjust respiratory therapy equipment.
• Educate residents and families on respiratory care plans and equipment use.
• Serve as a vital member of the CPR/emergency response team.

Qualifications:

• Licensed Respiratory Therapist (CRT or RRT) in [Insert State].
• BLS certification (ACLS preferred).
• Previous experience in a skilled nursing, sub-acute, or long-term care setting is a plus.
