Qualifications

• Associate degree or certificate in Respiratory Therapy is required.
• NBRC certification and State Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) required; CRT candidates may be considered.
• BCLS must be obtained within 30 days of start date.
• NRP must be obtained within 90 days of start date.

Responsibilities

• Perform respiratory assessments including breath sounds and respiratory status.
• Provide diagnostic respiratory procedures to assess patient needs and response to therapy.
• Administer oxygen therapy and aerosolized medications.
• Assist with airway management and ventilation support.
• Initiate and monitor invasive and noninvasive ventilation.
• Transport ventilator-dependent patients with safe respiratory support.
• Respond to emergencies and assist during resuscitation.
• Document assessments, treatments, and responses clearly.
• Collaborate with physicians and nurses to ensure quality care.

Job description

A healthcare facility is seeking a Respiratory Therapist to provide diagnostic and therapeutic respiratory care services as part of a multidisciplinary patient care team. This position supports patients across a variety of clinical settings by delivering respiratory treatments, monitoring respiratory status, and assisting with advanced airway and ventilation needs.

Responsibilities

Perform respiratory assessments, including evaluation of breath sounds, airway function, and respiratory status.

Provide diagnostic respiratory procedures to assess patient needs and response to therapy.

Administer oxygen therapy, aerosol medication treatments, and chest physiotherapy.

Assist with airway management procedures and support artificial airway placement.

Initiate, monitor, and maintain invasive and noninvasive mechanical ventilation.

Transport ventilator-dependent patients while ensuring safe respiratory support.

Respond to emergency situations and assist with airway management during resuscitation efforts.

Document respiratory assessments, treatments, and patient responses accurately.

Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to support quality patient care.

Requirements

Associate Degree or Certificate Program in Respiratory.

NBRC and State Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) required; new graduates and CRT candidates will also be considered.

BCLS - Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date.

NRP - Neonate Resuscitate must be obtained within 90 days of employment start date.
