Job summary

Northwest Medical Center Sahuarita is seeking a Respiratory Therapist (RRT) to administer therapies, perform assessments, and collaborate with care teams to optimize respiratory care. The role includes documenting treatments and ensuring patient safety in a fast-paced setting.

Qualified candidates will have RRT credentials and the listed certifications (BCLS, ACLS, PALS; NRP/STABLE as applicable). The position offers competitive benefits and schedule flexibility in a supportive department.

Qualifications

• RRT certification is required and must be active.
• BCLS, ACLS and PALS certifications required; NRP and STABLE if NICU work is involved.
• 1–3 years of respiratory experience in an acute care setting preferred.

Responsibilities

• Administers respiratory therapies, assessments, and monitors patient responses.
• Performs ABG punctures accurately and reports results promptly.
• Assists physicians with bedside procedures and pulmonary testing as assigned.
• Operates and maintains respiratory equipment, ensuring safety and infection control.
• Delivers care following physician orders and documents thoroughly.

ACLS - Advanced Cardiac Life Support

PALS - Pediatric Advanced Life Support

NRP - Neonatal Resuscitation (NICU)
