Join MercyOne Health System as a Respiratory Therapist. You will perform patient assessment, evaluate therapy options, administer therapy, consult with providers, and monitor patients across age groups.

This Full Time Day Shift includes a 12-hour day shift (6:00 AM - 6:30 PM) with every 3rd weekend. Sign-on bonus up to $20,000, relocation up to $8,000, and robust benefits including wellness programs, education reimbursement, and retirement planning.

Qualifications

• Must be credentialed as a certified or registered respiratory therapist by the National Board for Respiratory Care on hire.
• Active license as a respiratory care practitioner in the state of hire.
• BLS certification within 3 months of hire.
• Child and Dependent Adult Abuse Mandatory Reporter Training within 6 months and every 3 years.
• ACLS certification preferred within one year of hire.

Responsibilities

• Performs inhaled medication therapy and extensive ventilatory support modalities as ordered by physician.
• Participates in CPR and assists or performs intubation and transport for patients needing ventilatory support.
• Troubleshoots respiratory care equipment including ventilators, monitors, and delivery systems.
• Interprets diagnostics such as blood gases and pulmonary function tests, documenting results.
• Maintains records and provides patient instruction on device use and therapy.
