Job summary

Medical City Dallas seeks an experienced Respiratory Therapist (RRT) to deliver high-quality respiratory care as part of the patient care team. You will perform diagnostic tests, manage invasive and noninvasive ventilation, and coordinate with physicians to optimize outcomes.

The role requires active RRT credentials, BLS, and the ability to respond quickly in emergent situations. This is a full-time position in a large tertiary care center dedicated to patient-centered care.

Qualifications

• Certified Respiratory Therapist (RRT) or Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) with NBRC.
• NBRC-RRT or PFT certification required.
• BLS certification must be obtained within 30 days of start date.

Responsibilities

• Perform patient assessments including breath sounds and airway patency.
• Administer respiratory therapies: oxygen, aerosol meds, chest physiotherapy.
• Assist with artificial airways; initiate and monitor mechanical ventilation.
• Monitor therapeutic response and notify provider as needed.
• Coordinate transport of ventilator-dependent patients.
• Respond to emergent situations ensuring airway integrity during resuscitation.
