Job summary

Medical City Dallas is seeking a Respiratory Therapist (RRT) to provide patient-centered respiratory care in a high-acuity setting. You will perform assessments, administer therapies, and monitor ventilated patients across the continuum of care.

Responsibilities include airway management, assisted ventilation, and rapid response in emergencies. A valid RRT credential with NBRC and BCLS completion within 30 days of start date are required to join this team.

Qualifications

• RRT/Respiratory Therapist credential required (NBRC-RRT).
• BCLS certification required within 30 days of start date.
• Current Respiratory Therapist licensure or eligibility in state.

Responsibilities

• Perform patient assessment and document results including breath sounds and airway patency.
• Deliver respiratory care therapies such as oxygen, aerosols, and chest physiotherapy.
• Assist with artificial airway placement and manage mechanical ventilation.
• Monitor therapeutic response and notify provider of changes.
• Transport ventilator-dependent patients as needed.
• Respond to emergent situations and ensure airway integrity during resuscitation.
