Select Specialty Hospital in Davenport, IA is seeking a Respiratory Therapist (RRT or CRT) for full-time night shifts on a 12-hour schedule. Newly increased rates range from $30.47 to $41.00 per hour, with shift differentials for nights and weekends and a $15,000 sign-on bonus.

Responsibilities include evaluating patients, providing respiratory care for critical conditions, managing endotracheal tubes, and contributing to quality improvement.

Qualifications

• Active CRT or RRT NBRC credential
• BLS certification by start date
• Current state licensure is required
• ACLS within 6 months of hire
• Preferred: 1 year related experience

Responsibilities

• Evaluate patients and recommend an appropriate treatment plan.
• Provide respiratory care to patients with critical and complex medical and surgical conditions.
• Perform insertion and removal of endotracheal tubes.
• Promote continuous quality improvement.
• Teach and counsel patients/families.

Qualifications

Minimum requirements:

• Must possess "Active" CRT or RRT credential from the National Board of Respiratory Care (NBRC) or state equivalent.
• Proof of graduation required: college transcript/diploma (preferred) or high school transcript/diploma or GED.
• Possess a Basic Life Support (BLS) certification by start date.
• Current state licensure is required.
• ACLS is required within 6 months of hire. (Agency RT must have ACLS upon first shift, PRN staff must have ACLS upon hire).

Preferred qualifications:

• One (1) year of related experience is preferred.
