Job summary

Select Specialty Hospital in Davenport, IA is seeking a Respiratory Therapist (RT) for per diem/PRN night shifts. You will evaluate patients, provide critical respiratory care, and manage endotracheal tube procedures as part of a dedicated team.

The role requires NBRC CRT or RRT, BLS and ACLS on hire, state licensure, and a strong commitment to quality care. Sign-on bonus of $7,500 and orientation to support a smooth transition are offered.

Qualifications

• Active NBRC CRT or RRT credential required.
• Proof of graduation: college transcript/diploma or HS transcript/diploma or GED.
• BLS certification required by start date.
• Current state licensure required.
• ACLS required upon hire.

Responsibilities

• Evaluating patients and recommending an appropriate treatment plan.
• Providing respiratory care to patients with critical and complex medical and surgical conditions.
• Performing insertion and removal of endotracheal tubes.
• Promoting continuous quality improvement.
• Teaching and counseling patients/families.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Location: Davenport, IA

Schedule: 12-Hour Shift - Night ShiftNew PRN RT Rate: $38 / Hour plus shift differential for night and weekend shifts

Qualifications

Minimum requirements:

• Must possess "Active" CRT or RRT credential from the National Board of Respiratory Care (NBRC) or state equivalent.
• Proof of graduation required: college transcript/diploma (preferred) or high school transcript/diploma or GED.
• Possess a Basic Life Support (BLS) certification by start date.
• Current state licensure is required.
• ACLS is required upon hire. (Agency RT must have ACLS upon first shift)

Preferred qualifications:

• One (1) year of related experience is preferred.
