Rush Specialty Hospital in Chicago, IL seeks a Respiratory Therapist (RRT/CRT) for full-time night shifts (12-hour). Compensation ranges from $39.38 to $53.00 per hour with a $15,000 sign-on bonus and night/weekend shift differentials.

The role will evaluate patients, provide respiratory care, and participate in a clinical ladder with tuition reimbursement, continuing education, PTO, health and retirement benefits, and company-paid parking.

Qualifications

• Active NBRC CRT or RRT credential required.
• Proof of graduation: college transcript or diploma or GED.
• BLS certification required by start date.
• Current state licensure required.
• ACLS required within 6 months of hire.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate patients and recommend an appropriate treatment plan.
• Provide respiratory care for patients with critical/complex conditions.
• Perform insertion/removal of endotracheal tubes.
• Promote continuous quality improvement.
• Teach and counsel patients/families.

Minimum Requirements

• Must possess "Active" CRT or RRT credential from the National Board of Respiratory Care (NBRC) or state equivalent.
• Proof of graduation required: college transcript/diploma (preferred) or high school transcript/diploma or GED.
• Possess a Basic Life Support (BLS) certification by start date.
• Current state licensure is required.
• ACLS is required within 6 months of hire. (Agency RT must have ACLS upon first shift, PRN staff must have ACLS upon hire).

Preferred Qualifications

• One (1) year of related experience is preferred.
