Job summary

Mercy Medical Center in Springfield, MA is seeking a Respiratory Therapist to administer respiratory care and operate ventilators, CPAP/NIPPV, and high-flow devices. You will function with clinical judgment and act as a resource for physicians and staff.

Minimum qualifications include an Associate's Degree, CT licensure, and NBRC credentials (RRT/CRT). Excellent benefits and a sign-on bonus are offered.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of Respiratory Care, minimum of a two-year Associate's Degree
• Current State of CT Respiratory Care Practitioner License
• Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) or Certified (CRT) by the NBRC
• Thorough knowledge of the procedures and patient care techniques involved in the delivery of respiratory care

Responsibilities

Position Purpose

• Serve as a technical resource person to the physicians and other health care workers, with regard to current practices in respiratory care

• Set up, operate and manage patient care on respiratory related equipment such as mechanical ventilators, NIPPV/CPAP, or High Flow Oxygen devices

• Manage patients on invasive mechanical ventilation modes (AC, PSV, PC, APRV, Bi-level)

Pay Range: $30-48/hr

Pay is based on experience, skills, and education, including CRT vs. RRT. Exempt positions under the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA) will be paid within the base salary equivalent of the stated hourly rates. The pay range may also vary within the stated range based on location.
