Job summary

Kalesta Healthcare Group seeks a skilled Respiratory Therapist (RT) in Washington state to support residents’ respiratory care alongside nursing and therapy staff. This full-time role emphasizes patient-centered care and collaborative planning to achieve optimal outcomes.

You will perform treatments, monitor status, document interventions, and educate residents and families while maintaining equipment and contributing to personalized care plans.

Qualifications

• Current Washington State license/certification as a Respiratory Care Practitioner (RCP).
• Graduate of an accredited Respiratory Therapy program (CRT or RRT preferred).
• Experience with tracheostomy care and ventilator management strongly preferred.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
• Compassionate, dependable, and resident-focused.

Responsibilities

• Provide respiratory therapy treatments per physician orders, including nebulizer treatments, suctioning, oxygen administration, etc.
• Assess and monitor residents’ respiratory status, promptly reporting changes to the nursing and medical team
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation of treatments, interventions, and resident response
• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to create individualized care plans for residents with respiratory needs
• Educate residents, families, and staff on respiratory care techniques and equipment
• Ensure proper cleaning, maintenance, and functionality of respiratory therapy equipment
