Job summary

Kalesta Healthcare Group in Seattle, WA is seeking a skilled Respiratory Therapist to join our care team. This full-time RT will provide treatments per physician orders, monitor respiratory status, document care, and collaborate with nursing and therapy staff to optimize outcomes.

Requirements include Washington State RCP license, graduation from an accredited Respiratory Therapy program (CRT or RRT preferred), strong communication, and a compassionate, resident-focused approach.

Qualifications

• Current Washington State license/certification as a Respiratory Care Practitioner (RCP)
• Graduation from an accredited Respiratory Therapy program (CRT or RRT preferred)
• Experience with tracheostomy care and ventilator management strongly preferred
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills
• Compassionate, dependable, and resident-focused

Responsibilities

• Provide respiratory therapy treatments per physician orders, including nebulizer treatments, suctioning, oxygen administration, etc.
• Assess and monitor residents’ respiratory status, promptly reporting changes to the nursing and medical team
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation of treatments, interventions, and resident response
• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to create individualized care plans for residents with respiratory needs
• Educate residents, families, and staff on respiratory care techniques and equipment
• Ensure proper cleaning, maintenance, and functionality of respiratory therapy equipment
