$13,000 (Eve/Nights) / $8,000 (Days) New Hire Bonus for FT/PT Positions!

  • Day shift weekend rotation is every 6th weekend.
  • Night shift weekend rotation is every 5th weekend.
  • Strong teamwork dynamic utilizing patient-centered Therapist-driven protocols.
  • Mid-sized hospital offering comprehensive Respiratory Therapy clinical opportunities including ventilator and NIV management, pulmonary medication delivery, arterial blood gas draws/analysis, Code Blue/Rapid Response Team, and all current modalities of secretion mobilization and oxygen therapy.
  • Opportunities for CRT to RRT pathway.
  • Opportunities for RT Student to RRT pathway.

The Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) administers a full range of respiratory therapy treatments and modalities, monitors life support devices, is engaged in arterial blood gas sampling and analysis, and performs selected cardiopulmonary diagnostic testing as prescribed by the attending physician. Multidisciplinary team approach in critical and acute care settings.

Position Qualifications

  • Minimum Education: Registered as a Respiratory Therapist by the National Board for Respiratory Care. Licensed by the State of Indiana Health Professional Bureau to perform respiratory therapy duties.
  • Preferred Education: Bachelor’s degree in Respiratory Therapy from an accredited institution.
  • Certifications Required: ACLS/BLS, PALS, NRP RRT

Position Accountabilities

  • Performs work assignments and displays a positive sincere attitude that supports the hospital’s mission statement.
  • Maintains confidentiality of all data, procedures, records, forms, reports, and any other sensitive information regarding a patient’s medical condition or treatment.
  • Participates actively in self-improvement through continuing education and in-service attendance.
  • Properly performs all respiratory care therapeutic procedures listed on the department’s scope of services.
  • Administers emergency and critical care procedures according to approved protocols.
  • Performs 12-lead electrocardiograms accurately.
  • Contributes to department performance improvement efforts.
  • Participates in the orientation and education of new employees and staff development.
  • Reacts positively to change and handles other tasks as assigned.
  • Maintains open communication with team members.
  • Provides excellent public relations in all communications with patients, families, and physicians.
  • Documents patient treatment data accurately in department records.
  • Supports professional development of department staff.
