Job summary

PAM Health hospital system is seeking a Respiratory Therapist to perform routine therapy, diagnostic and emergency cardiopulmonary procedures for patients. You will maintain respiratory care equipment and provide phlebotomy and basic laboratory testing as needed.

The role involves caring for chronically and critically ill patients requiring extended hospital care and collaborating with colleagues and leadership to support compassionate patient care and recovery.

Qualifications

• Must be certified or licensed in the state where the hospital resides to practice respiratory care.
• Must possess and maintain current BLS certification.
• Must possess and maintain current ACLS certification.
• Blood gas licensure required if employed in the state of Nevada.
• High school diploma required; associate degree preferred.

Job description

• Maintain all respiratory care equipment in working order


• Provide phlebotomy and basic laboratory testing for the patient population as required or requested


• Care for chronically and critically ill patients requiring extended hospital care


• Work collaboratively with colleagues and leadership to support compassionate patient care and recovery

Requirements

• Must be certified or licensed in the state where the hospital resides to practice respiratory care


• Must possess and maintain current BLS certification


• Must possess and maintain current ACLS certification


• Blood gas licensure required if employed in the state of Nevada


• For hospitals that perform arterial punctures and/or run blood gases, at least a high school diploma is required; an associate degree is preferred


• Minimum of one-year clinical respiratory experience preferred


• Requires one weekend and one holiday
