Qualifications

Job description

• Perform routine therapy, diagnostic, and emergency cardiopulmonary procedures for patients in PAM Health hospitals


• Maintain all respiratory care equipment in working order


• Provide phlebotomy and basic laboratory testing for the patient population as required or requested


• Care for a diverse population of chronically and critically ill patients requiring extended hospital care


• Work collaboratively with colleagues and leadership to deliver compassionate care and support optimal patient outcomes

Requirements

• Must be certified or licensed in the state where the hospital resides to practice respiratory care


• Must possess and maintain current BLS certification


• Must possess and maintain current ACLS certification


• Blood gas licensure required if employed in the state of Nevada


• For hospitals that perform arterial punctures and/or run blood gases, at least a high school diploma is required; an associate degree is preferred


• Minimum of one-year clinical respiratory experience preferred


• Prior inpatient hospital experience or a desire and commitment to learn
