Corewell Health’s Lenox Township Emergency Center is hiring a Registered Respiratory Therapist for a full-time, hybrid role. You will work 36 hours weekly with a day shift (11:00 a.m.–11:00 p.m. in some schedules) and participate in cross-training for emergency center tech duties.

The role requires an Associate’s degree in Respiratory Therapy, Michigan licensure on hire, NBRC RRT eligibility, and BLS certification (AHA or ARC). A $10,000 sign-on bonus is available for qualified external hires.

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree in Respiratory Therapy is required.
• Eligibility for RRT NBRC status upon hire is required.
• Licensed in Michigan upon hire (MI state license) is required.
• NBRC CRT Registry status is required upon hire.
• BLS certification required upon hire (AHA or ARC).

Responsibilities

• Implements and evaluates diagnostic and therapeutic respiratory services.
• Assists physicians in management of cardiopulmonary disorders.
• Educates patients, staff and physicians; supports respiratory care equipment.
• Performs general department duties as assigned.

About the Unit

We are a free-standing 8 bed Emergency Center located in Lenox Township.

Scope of Work

Hybrid position- will be cross-trained for emergency center tech duties.

Under minimal direction, the Registered Respiratory Therapist: implements and evaluates diagnostic and therapeutic respiratory services to assist physicians in the diagnosis and management of patients with cardiopulmonary and related disorders; participates in the education of patients, students, staff and physicians; provides technical support for all equipment related to the practice of Respiratory Care; assists with general department functions.

Qualifications

• Required Associate’s Degree Respiratory Therapy
• Eligible for position after attainment of RRT NBRC status. Required
• LIC-Respiratory Therapist - STATE_MI State of Michigan Upon Hire required
• CRT-Respiratory Therapist Registry - NBRC National Board for Respiratory Care Upon Hire required
• CRT-Basic Life Support (BLS) - AHA American Heart Association Upon Hire required Or
• CRT-Basic Life Support (BLS) - ARC American Red Cross Upon Hire required
