Job summary

Atlantic Health System is seeking a Respiratory Therapist to support patient care in a clinical setting. You will integrate with the care team to perform procedures, document assessments in the EMR, and educate patients and families using teach-back methods.

Qualifications

• BLS certification required.
• Advanced Life Support (ALS) required or to be obtained within 12 months of hire.
• Associate of Science in Respiratory Therapy from an accredited program.
• Active NJ license as a Respiratory Therapist required; NBRC-RRT credential required within one year.

Responsibilities

• Adhere to infection control and hand hygiene guidelines.
• Document assessments and interventions in the EMR system.
• Educate patients and families using teach-back methods.
• Provide safe, ethical and patient-family centered respiratory care.
• Triage patient calls related to PFT/CPAP and coordinate care.
• Set up CPAP/BIPAP equipment and calibrate devices.
• Verify insurance coverage and patient eligibility as needed.
• Collaborate with team to support clinic operations and training.
