Job summary

Atlantic Health is seeking a Respiratory Therapist to provide advanced respiratory care and life support under physician supervision at our New Jersey facilities. You will evaluate conditions, administer inhalation therapies, set up and operate ventilators, monitor responses, and perform pulmonary function testing while educating patients and supporting trainees.

Qualifications include an AS in Respiratory Therapy, NJ license, NBRC RRT within 1 year, BLS, and a willingness to obtain ALS within

Qualifications

• Associate of Science degree from an accredited respiratory therapist program is required.
• Bachelor's degree highly preferred.
• 1+ years of Respiratory Care experience.
• Critical care experience highly preferred.
• Previous experience with PFT studies and cardiopulmonary testing highly preferred.
• Current or past experience with EPIC charting highly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Evaluates prescriptions and arterial blood gases to assess therapy needs.
• Renders aerosol medications and assists breathing.
• Operates ventilators and related respiratory devices.
• Monitors patient responses and vital signs during therapy.
• Performs pulmonary function tests to support diagnosis.
• Educates patients and trainees in respiratory care.
