Job summary

Select Specialty Hospital in Columbus is seeking a Respiratory Therapist (RT) for per diem shifts. The role offers 2 twelve-hour shifts weekly with at least three weekend shifts every six weeks and a $7,500 sign-on bonus.

Compensation is $55 per hour, with opportunities for advancement and a supportive orientation program. The RT will evaluate patients, deliver respiratory care for critically ill or complex cases, assist with airway management, and contribute to quality improvement.

Qualifications

• Must have Active CRT or RRT credential from NBRC or state equivalent.
• Proof of graduation required: college transcript/diploma (preferred) or high school transcript/diploma or GED.
• BLS certification by start date.
• Current state licensure is required.
• ACLS is required upon hire.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate patients and recommend an appropriate treatment plan.
• Provide respiratory care to patients with critical and complex medical and surgical conditions.
• Perform insertion and removal of endotracheal tubes.
• Promote continuous quality improvement.
• Teach and counsel patients/families.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Location: Select Specialty Hospital - Columbus - Vic Village (Dennison Ave)

Schedule: 2 12hr shifts/week, at least 3 weekends shifts every 6 weeks

Compensation: $55 per hour

Sign-on Bonus: $7,500

Minimum Requirements

• Must possess "Active" CRT or RRT credential from the National Board of Respiratory Care (NBRC) or state equivalent.
• Proof of graduation required: college transcript/diploma (preferred) or high school transcript/diploma or GED.
• Possess a Basic Life Support (BLS) certification by start date.
• Current state licensure is required.
• ACLS is required upon hire. (Agency RT must have ACLS upon first shift)

Preferred Qualifications

• One (1) year of related experience is preferred.
