Job summary

Select Specialty Hospital – Cincinnati Downtown is seeking a Respiratory Therapist (RT) to support our critical illness recovery unit. This PRN/Per Diem role features 12-hour night shifts, with $45 per hour and a $3,750 sign-on bonus to start.

You will evaluate patients, provide respiratory care, assist with endotracheal tube procedures, and contribute to quality improvement. Must hold NBRC credential, BLS, state licensure, ACLS on hire.

Qualifications

• Must possess an Active CRT or RRT credential from NBRC or state equivalent.
• Proof of graduation required: college transcript/diploma preferred or high school transcript/diploma or GED.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification by start date.
• Current state licensure is required.
• ACLS is required upon hire.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate patients and recommend an appropriate treatment plan.
• Provide respiratory care to patients with critical and complex medical/surgical conditions.
• Perform insertion and removal of endotracheal tubes.
• Promote continuous quality improvement.
• Teach and counsel patients/families.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Compensation

$45.00 per Hour

Sign On Bonus

$3,750.00

Tier 1

Three 12 hour shifts per six-week schedule; 1 major holiday: $45.00 + applicable shift diffs.

Tier 2

Minimum of two 12-hour shifts per week; One major/minor holiday; at least 3 weekend shifts per six-week schedule: $55.00 + applicable shift diffs.

Minimum Requirements

• Must possess "Active" CRT or RRT credential from the National Board of Respiratory Care (NBRC) or state equivalent.
• Proof of graduation required: college transcript/diploma (preferred) or high school transcript/diploma or GED.
• Possess a Basic Life Support (BLS) certification by start date.
• Current state licensure is required.
• ACLS is required upon hire. (Agency RT must have ACLS upon first shift)

Preferred Qualifications

• One (1) year of related experience is preferred.
