Job summary

Select Specialty Hospital - Columbus seeks a Respiratory Therapist (RT) for per diem coverage. You will evaluate patients, develop treatment plans and provide respiratory care for critically ill and post-ICU patients in a high‑quality inpatient setting.

Schedule: two 12‑hour shifts per week with at least three weekend shifts every six weeks. Compensation is $55 per hour with a $7,500 sign‑on bonus; ACLS, NBRC credentials, BLS and state licensure are required.

Qualifications

• Active NBRC CRT or RRT credential required.
• BLS certification by start date.
• Current state licensure.
• ACLS required on hire.
• Proof of graduation with college transcript/diploma or high school transcript/GED.

Responsibilities

• Evaluating patients and recommending an appropriate treatment plan.
• Providing respiratory care to patients with critical and complex medical and surgical conditions.
• Performing insertion and removal of endotracheal tubes.
• Promoting continuous quality improvement.
• Teaching and counseling patients/families.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Schedule: 2 12hr shifts/week, at least 3 weekends shifts every 6 weeksCompensation: $55 per hour

Qualifications

Minimum requirements:

• Must possess "Active" CRT or RRT credential from the National Board of Respiratory Care (NBRC) or state equivalent.
• Proof of graduation required: college transcript/diploma (preferred) or high school transcript/diploma or GED.
• Possess a Basic Life Support (BLS) certification by start date.
• Current state licensure is required.
• ACLS is required upon hire. (Agency RT must have ACLS upon first shift)

Preferred qualifications:

• One (1) year of related experience is preferred.
