Job summary

Select Medical’s Select Specialty Hospital - Columbus South is seeking a Respiratory Therapist for a full-time night shift (7:00 p.m.–7:00 a.m.) with a pay range of $35.00 to $47.10 per hour, based on experience. A $15,000 sign-on bonus is offered.

You will evaluate patients, deliver respiratory care, perform endotracheal tube procedures, and contribute to quality improvement. The hospital provides orientation, tuition reimbursement, clinical ladder, debt relief, PTO, and a 401(k) retirement

Qualifications

• Active NBRC CRT or RRT credential.
• Proof of graduation required: college transcript/diploma or high school diploma or GED.
• BLS certification by start date.
• Current state licensure required.
• ACLS required within 6 months of hire (agency RT first shift; PRN staff at hire).
• One year of related experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Evaluating patients and recommending an appropriate treatment plan.
• Providing respiratory care to patients with critical and complex medical conditions.
• Performing insertion and removal of endotracheal tubes.
• Promoting continuous quality improvement.
• Teaching and counseling patients and families.

Qualifications

Minimum requirements:

• Must possess "Active" CRT or RRT credential from the National Board of Respiratory Care (NBRC) or state equivalent.
• Proof of graduation required: college transcript/diploma (preferred) or high school transcript/diploma or GED.
• Possess a Basic Life Support (BLS) certification by start date.
• Current state licensure is required.
• ACLS is required within 6 months of hire. (Agency RT must have ACLS upon first shift, PRN staff must have ACLS upon hire).

Preferred qualifications:

• One (1) year of related experience is preferred.
