Job Summary and Qualifications

The respiratory therapist will demonstrate proficiency in all modalities of respiratory care, with additional competency in NICU and pediatric patient care. Responsibilities include executing assignments in compliance with hospital and respiratory policies. May work with respiratory students in clinical settings.

Qualifications:

• Graduated from an accredited school for respiratory care, recognized by the NBRC.
• Minimum one year of experience in respiratory care with documented training in NICU and/or pediatrics.
• Credentials such as RRT/RCP, CRTT, or LCRT.
• State registration or certification as a respiratory therapist or technician.
• Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) required.
• PALS certification required; PALS instructor preferred.
• NRP certification required.
• ACLS preferred (facility-based requirements).
