Job Summary and Qualifications

The staff respiratory therapist demonstrates proficiency in all modalities of respiratory care, with additional competency in NICU and pediatric patient care. Responsibilities include executing assignments in compliance with hospital and respiratory policies. May work with respiratory students in clinical settings.

Qualifications:

• Graduated from an accredited school for Respiratory Care, recognized by NBRC.
• One year of experience in respiratory care with documented NICU/pediatric training.
• RRT/RCP, CRTT, or LCRT certification.
• State Registered or Certified Respiratory Therapist/Technician.
• Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) required.
• PALS certification required; PALS instructor preferred.
• NRP certification required.
• ACLS preferred (facility-dependent).
