Job Title: Health Care Specialist

The Health Care Specialist is responsible for equipment setups in a timely and professional manner, primarily handling highly technical equipment such as ventilators, monitors, and CPAP units. Additionally, the role includes providing technical assistance and setting up various oxygen equipment.

1. Patient Education: Provides education as an integral part of patient care, often in the patient's home, tailored to individual needs and policies.
2. Transportation: Requires use of a personal vehicle with a valid driver's license.
3. Patient Assessments: Conducts comprehensive and professional patient assessments following established policies and procedures.
4. Knowledge Maintenance: Keeps current with respiratory homecare techniques and relevant respiratory therapy concepts.
5. Safety and Compliance: Adheres to policies from the Safety & Regulatory Manual, including OSHA, DOT, FDA, and Emergency Planning guidelines, ensuring proper use of Personal Protective Equipment and safety protocols.
6. Professional Representation: Represents the company through professional appearance, patient care activities, and accurate documentation.
7. Prescription Collection: Assists in collecting prescriptions as needed.
8. Record Keeping: Maintains patient records in an organized and complete manner, compliant with accreditation standards.
9. On-Call Responsibilities: Works on-call after hours and weekends as required, with frequency determined by center size and staffing.
10. Responsiveness: Responds promptly to patient and operational needs.
