Job summary

St. Luke’s –Milwaukee, WI is seeking a Respiratory Therapist to support patient assessment, therapies, and ventilator care across critical and non-critical settings. You will collaborate with physicians, educate patients, and ensure equipment is properly maintained and powered for safe care.

Requires licensure/certification in respiratory care, an associate degree, and excellent communication skills. Night shifts with weekend differential are provided, along with a sign-on bonus and loan/tution

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited respiratory care program with an associate degree.
• RCP license or NBRC credentials within required timeframe.
• Strong communication and teamwork abilities.

Responsibilities

• Support patient assessment using pulmonary diagnostics and blood gas interpretation.
• Operate ventilators in critical and non-critical care areas.
• Provide prescribed therapies and educate patients on self-care.
• Maintain equipment and ensure safety and infection control.
• Document care and hand off clearly to the team.
