Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited respiratory care program with at least an associate degree.
• RCP license and NBRC credentials required within 12 months.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification for Healthcare Providers.

Responsibilities

• Uses respiratory therapy processes to assess patients with pulmonary diagnostics and related data.
• Operates ventilators and assists with physician procedures as applicable.
• Delivers medications and therapies per physician orders or patient protocols.
• Cleans, maintains, and ensures proper functionality of equipment; troubleshoots as needed.
• Educates patients on therapy purpose, technique, and self-care.
• Collaborates with departments to provide education on patient management.
• Adheres to policies and performs duties across service areas; maintains safety standards.
• Provides clear, timely patient handoffs and demonstrates effective communication.
• Precepts new teammates and students; supports age-specific patient care needs.
