Job summary
Methodist Southwest Medical Center in the Dallas area is seeking a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) for 12x3 Night shifts. Responsibilities include ABG, PFTs, ventilator support, and airway maintenance for adults and neonates.
The role requires BLS, ACLS, NBRC-registered status, Texas license, and 6 months of experience. NRP/PALS must be obtained within 1 year of hire. Hospital offers comprehensive benefits.
Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited Respiratory Care Program is required.
- Current Basic Life Support certification required.
- Current Advanced Cardiac Life Support certification required.
- NRP/PALS must be obtained within 1 year of hire.
- Texas Medical Board licensure as Respiratory Care Practitioner in good standing.
- Registered by the National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC).
- At least 6 months of respiratory care experience.
Responsibilities
- Performs respiratory therapies including oxygen administration, aerosol therapy, and ventilator support.
- Performs cardiopulmonary diagnostic procedures (ABG, PFTs, ECG) and interprets data.
- Conducts bedside respiratory assessments and documents in medical records.
- Operates, maintains, and troubleshoots respiratory equipment.
- Participates in infection control, safety, and quality assurance activities.
- Performs routine cleaning and maintenance of equipment and work areas.
