Job summary

Inova Fairfax Hospital is seeking a dedicated Respiratory Therapist Transport 1 to join our team. This full-time position is 36 hours per week, with shifts from 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM on weekends. A sign-on and relocation bonus are available to qualified candidates.

Qualifications

• Experience - 3 years in PICU or other relevant ICU setting.
• Graduate of an accredited CoARC respiratory care program.
• BLS, PALS, NPR, ACLS from AHA upon start.
• Neonatal Pediatric Specialist Respiratory Care and Registered Respiratory Therapist Adult Critical Care with 12 months.
• RRT Upon start and VA License.
• Adult Cardiovascular Patients environment.
• Pediatric certifications required upon start only if role is directly associated with PEDS.

Responsibilities

• Deliver respiratory care for transport patients with advanced proficiency in ventilator management and interfacility coordination.
• Assess, plan, and direct care for neonatal, pediatric and adult transport patients.
• Develop respiratory care plans based on diagnostic data and therapy responses, integrating into overall patient care.
• Communicate effectively with Transport team, patients, families, and community facilities.
• Administer basic and advanced respiratory therapies and manage transport ventilators with high proficiency.
