Job summary

Inova Fairfax Hospital in Northern Virginia is seeking a dedicated Respiratory Therapist Transport 1 to join the team. This full-time role covers day shifts (7:00 AM–7:00 PM) with weekend commitments and includes a sign-on and relocation bonus.

You will provide advanced transport care, manage ventilator support, and collaborate with interfacility teams to care for neonatal, pediatric and adult patients.

Qualifications

• 3 years of experience in PICU or other relevant ICU setting.
• Graduate of an accredited CoARC respiratory care program.
• BLS, PALS, NPR, ACLS from AHA prior to start.
• Neonatal Pediatric Specialist Respiratory Care and RRT Adult Critical Care certifications with 12 months experience.
• License - RRT upon start and VA license.

Responsibilities

• Encompasses clinical, leadership, and quality expectations of the Respiratory Therapist 3 role with interfacility transport.
• Assess, plan, and deliver care for neonatal, pediatric and adult transport patients.
• Validate results and formulate respiratory care plans integrated into total patient care.
• Communicate effectively with Transport team, patients, families and community facilities.
• Administer basic and advanced respiratory therapies and manage transport ventilators.
