Job summary

Lionstone Care is seeking a Respiratory Therapist in Akron, OH. The role involves assessing, treating, and caring for patients with respiratory and cardiopulmonary disorders across healthcare, long-term care, or acute care settings.

The RT will provide oxygen therapy, manage ventilators, and perform diagnostic tests to guide treatment plans. Education required is an Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Respiratory Therapy with a current RT license (CRT or RRT).

Qualifications

• Education: Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Respiratory Therapy from an accredited program.
• Licensure: Current and active Respiratory Therapist license. CRT or RRT certification required.
• Experience: Healthcare or acute care setting preferred; new graduates welcome.

Responsibilities

• Assess patients' respiratory conditions by evaluating history, exams, and diagnostic tests.
• Administer oxygen therapy, aerosols, bronchodilators, chest physiotherapy.
• Manage ventilators and non-invasive ventilation devices.
• Provide airway management and suctioning as needed.
• Monitor responses to therapy and document progress in EHR.
• Educate patients and families on managing respiratory conditions.
• Respond to respiratory emergencies and coordinate with the medical team.
• Perform pulmonary function tests and ABG analysis; report results to physicians.
