Qualifications

• Registered Respiratory Therapist credential required.
• Current state certification to practice respiratory therapy.
• Associate degree in applied science or equivalent.
• ACLS certification required post-hire.

Responsibilities

• Administers safe respiratory treatments and gas therapy per standards.
• Maintains equipment, ensuring decontamination and safety.
• Documents effects of therapy for continuity of care with the team.
• Mentors students from clinical affiliates when applicable.
• Uses clinical skills to assess cardiopulmonary status and plan care.
• Performs diagnostic tests to determine cardio-pulmonary function.
• Provides mechanical ventilator support as prescribed.

Education
