Job summary

St. Elizabeth Healthcare in Edgewood, KY is seeking a Registered Respiratory Therapist to join the NICU team.

Under physician orders, you will assess pulmonary status, administer therapies, perform diagnostic tests, and collaborate with the care team to optimize cardio-pulmonary function for neonates and critical patients. The role requires NBRC RRT credential, state license to practice Respiratory Therapy, and an associate degree in applied science or equivalent.

Qualifications

• Registered Respiratory Therapist must be NBRC-certified.
• Holds current state licensure to practice Respiratory Therapy.
• Associate degree in applied science or equivalent required.
• ACLS certification required post-hire if not already certified.

Responsibilities

• Administers respiratory treatments and gas therapy per physician orders.
• Maintains equipment, ensures decontamination and safe care environment.
• Performs diagnostic tests and bedside spirometry as needed.
• Mentors students from clinical affiliates and collaborates with the care team.

Education

Associate degree in applied science or equivalent
