St. Elizabeth Healthcare in Kentucky is seeking a Respiratory Therapist to assess patients, administer therapy, and support cardio-pulmonary function under physician orders. The role emphasizes patient care, safety, and collaboration with the Sleep Disorders Team.

You will operate ventilator and diagnostic equipment, mentor students from clinical affiliates, and ensure compliance with safety, infection control, and regulatory standards while providing compassionate service to diverse patients.

Qualifications

• Registered Respiratory Therapist per NBRC.
• Current state license to practice Respiratory Therapy.
• Associate degree in applied science or equivalent.
• Maintain NBRC credential through continuing competency.
• ACLS certification required after hire.

Responsibilities

• Administers respiratory treatments and gas therapy per current standards.
• Maintains equipment, supplies, and clean/safe work environment.
• Documents and communicates therapy effects for care continuity.
• Mentors students from clinical affiliates.
• Provides mechanical ventilator support as ordered.
• Performs bedside diagnostic tests to assess cardiopulmonary function.
