Job summary

Central Maine Medical Center, part of Prime Healthcare Foundation, is seeking a Respiratory Care Practitioner II for a per diem role in Lewiston, ME. The incumbent will perform respiratory therapies and diagnostics as ordered, with emphasis on assessment, planning, implementation and documentation of patient care.

Lead responsibilities may arise during shifts. Required licensure includes RCP and NBRC credentials, BLS and ACLS; PALS/NRP preferred, with 2+ years acute care experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Current State Respiratory Care Practitioner (RCP) license required.
• Current Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) from NBRC or obtained within 3 months of hire.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
• Adult Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification required.
• PALS certification preferred.
• NRP certification preferred.
• Associate or Bachelor degree preferred.
• Two years of acute care experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform respiratory therapy and pulmonary diagnostic procedures as ordered by the provider.
• Assess, plan, implement and document care with patient age/population considerations.
• May be assigned as Lead RCP, with shift responsibility for the section or department.
