Job summary

Qualifications

• Current State Respiratory Care Practitioner (RCP) license required.
• BLS certification (American Heart Association or American Red Cross) upon hire and maintained.
• ACLS certification (AHA or ARC) upon hire and maintained.
• PALS certification preferred.
• Neonatal Resuscitation Program certification preferred.
• Two years of acute care experience preferred.
• Associate/Bachelor degree in science or related field preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform respiratory therapy and pulmonary diagnostic procedures as ordered by the physician.
• Focus on assessment, planning, implementation and documentation of care considering patient age and population-specific needs.
• May be designated Lead RCP in absence of a supervisor, with responsibility for the section or department during the shift.
