Job summary

North Suburban Medical Center is seeking a Respiratory Therapist to guide patients through routine and critical care. You will perform diagnostic and therapeutic procedures, manage invasive and noninvasive ventilation, and work with a collaborative team to ensure high-quality outcomes.

You will have access to advanced respiratory technology, mentorship, and predictable scheduling to support ongoing professional growth and patient care excellence.

Qualifications

• Active respiratory therapist license or eligibility.
• ACLS/BLS/NRP/PALS certifications within 30 days of start date.
• NBRC-RRT credential required or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Assess respiratory status and determine need for interventions.
• Provide oxygen therapy, aerosolized meds, and airway clearance techniques.
• Manage ventilation and airway support across settings.
• Educate patients and families; collaborate with care team.
• Maintain and sanitize equipment, ensure readiness and safety.
