Job summary

Valley Health is seeking a Respiratory Therapist II to provide comprehensive respiratory care across age groups from neonate to geriatric. You will assess patients, implement therapy per physician orders, and participate in a multidisciplinary team to optimize patient outcomes.

The role requires an accredited respiratory care program completion, state licensure, and NBRC CRT/RRT credentials with several certifications.

Qualifications

• Completion of an accredited educational program for Respiratory Care is required.
• RCP License is required.
• NBRC CRT or RRT with 5 years of experience or Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) is required.

Responsibilities

• Administers all therapy modalities per physician orders and/or protocols.
• Performs SpO2 monitoring via pulse oximetry.
• Performs airway clearance therapy and ventilation support.
• Operates and monitors mechanical ventilators and non-invasive ventilation.
• Responds to rapid response, code situations and trauma activations.
• Assists in bedside bronchoscopies and intubations as needed.
