Job summary

Overland Park Regional Medical Center is seeking a Respiratory Therapist to support patient care across emergency, critical care, and acute settings. You will perform diagnostic and therapeutic procedures, manage ventilation and airway support, and collaborate with physicians, nurses, and families to ensure high-quality care.

Qualifications

• NBRC-RRT: Registered Respiratory Therapist credential.
• RRT/RCP-State: Respiratory Therapist/Practitioner licensure state requirement.
• Associate Degree is required.
• Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date
• PALS Pediatric Advanced Life Support must be obtained within 6 months of employment start date

Responsibilities

• Assess respiratory status with focused exams and interpret breath sounds.
• Deliver oxygen therapy, aerosolized medications, airway clearance techniques, and other treatments across care settings.
• Manage ventilation and airway support, including invasive and noninvasive ventilation, with patient monitoring.
