Job summary

Buckeye Care & Rehabilitation is seeking a full-time Respiratory Therapist to grow our post-acute respiratory program with NIV (BiPAP/CPAP) focus. You will work with nursing leadership to support admissions and deliver high-quality respiratory care.

The role requires an Ohio license and RRT/CRT credentials, with experience in skilled nursing or acute care preferred. Night shifts, competitive benefits, and growth opportunities are offered.

Qualifications

• Active Ohio Respiratory Care Professional License.
• RRT or CRT credential.
• Experience with NIV: BiPAP/CPAP.
• Skilled nursing/long-term care or acute care experience preferred.
• Strong assessment, communication, and critical thinking.

Responsibilities

• Assess, initiate, monitor, and manage BiPAP/CPAP (NIV) therapy.
• Perform respiratory assessments and identify residents who may benefit from respiratory services.
• Administer respiratory treatments and therapies as ordered.
• Educate residents, families, and staff on respiratory equipment and therapies.
• Document assessments, treatments, and therapy in the EMR.
• Collaborate with physicians, nursing, admissions, and clinical leadership.
• Support respiratory evaluations for prospective admissions and identify residents who may benefit from respiratory services.
• Assist with development and growth of the facility’s respiratory therapy program.
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives and respiratory education for staff.
• Provide occasional supplemental or on‑call respiratory coverage.
