Job summary

Valley Health is hiring a Respiratory Therapist I to provide care across age groups in a hospital setting. You will assess patients, administer therapies, operate ventilation equipment, and collaborate with the multidisciplinary team.

Completion of an accredited Respiratory Care program and active RCP licensure are required, with NBRC credentials and BLS certification. New grads are encouraged to apply and orientation will be provided.

Qualifications

• Completion of an accredited educational program for Respiratory Care.
• Licensed Respiratory Care Practitioner (RCP) required.
• NBRC CRT or RRT certification required or equivalent.
• BLS Healthcare Provider certification required before orientation completion.
• New graduates encouraged to apply.

Responsibilities

• Administers all therapy modalities per physician orders and protocols.
• Performs SpO2 monitoring and respiratory assessments.
• Operates ventilators and non-invasive ventilation therapies.
• Performs arterial puncture and blood gas analysis.
• Maintains documentation in the EHR and communicates with the care team.
