Job summary

Trevecca Center for Rehabilitation and Healing is seeking a full-time Respiratory Therapist to join a dynamic team in a Skilled Nursing Facility. The candidate must be licensed in the practicing state and able to evaluate and treat independently, performing functional respiratory therapies to aid residents.

Responsibilities include assessments, initiating therapies, documentation, and staff education, with experience in tracheostomy care and long-term care settings, following facility procedures.

Qualifications

• Licensed as RRT or CRT in the practicing state.
• COARC-accredited AS or BS Respiratory program.

Responsibilities

• Completes assessments and implements respiratory techniques for varied conditions.
• Initiate therapies, maintain patient records, operate and assemble equipment.
• Bedside treatments and quarterly in-services for nursing staff.
• Maintain daily, weekly and monthly documentation.
• Attend IDT meetings.
• Assist with tracheotomy care and long-term care setting responsibilities.
• Follow departmental policies for respiratory interventions including CPAP/BIPAP and chest therapy.
