Job summary

Trevecca Center for Rehabilitation and Healing seeks a full-time Respiratory Therapist (RT) for our Skilled Nursing facility. Requires license in the practicing state and ability to evaluate and treat independently, with a passion for geriatric care and functional therapy to assist residents.

The role includes assessing, initiating therapies, maintaining records, and participating in nursing staff education and IDT meetings, with a focus on a broad range of respiratory interventions.

Qualifications

• Graduate of COARC accredited AS or BS Respiratory program. Licensed as RRT or CRT.
• Licensed in the state in which practicing BLS certification.

Responsibilities

• Completes assessments and implements respiratory techniques to progress rehab patients.
• Initiate therapies, maintain patient records, operate and assemble equipment.
• Complete bedside treatments and in-services for nursing staff quarterly.
• Document daily, weekly and monthly activity and attend IDT meetings.
• Experience with tracheotomy and long-term care settings.
• Follow facility procedures and perform caseload tracking and audits.
• Provide a range of respiratory interventions including oxygen weaning, CPAP/BIPAP, chest physiotherapy, and airway clearance.
