Job summary

Trevecca Center for Rehabilitation and Healing is seeking a full-time Respiratory Therapist to join our skilled nursing team. The RT will evaluate and treat residents with various respiratory and non-respiratory conditions, ensuring independent work with supervision as required.

The role requires licensure in the state, COARC-accredited training, and a focus on geriatric care, with responsibilities including therapy initiation, documentation, and participation in IDT meetings.

Qualifications

• Graduation from COARC accredited AS or BS Respiratory program.
• Licensed as RRT or CRT in the practicing state.
• BLS certification required.

Responsibilities

• Completes assessments and implements respiratory techniques to progress rehab patients.
• Initiate therapies, maintain patient records, operate and assemble equipment.
• Complete bedside treatments and document daily, weekly and monthly.
• Provide in-services for nursing staff quarterly and participate in IDT meetings.
• Experience with tracheotomy and long-term care settings.
• Follow facility procedures and perform caseload management.
